RISE Youth Program

The RISE Youth Program assists youth newcomers and refugees, who often experience complex and multiple challenges in settling into their new community. RISE helps newcomer and refugee youth use their strengths and resources to increase their capacity to cope with issues and barriers, and to increase their skills and knowledge to settle and integrate into their new country and community.

Through safe and specialized case management in first language, RISE provides:

  • Social and emotional support
  • Settlement information and counselling
  • Life skills, literacy and essential skills development
  • Practical assistance and supported access to services
  • Housing and health care navigation support
  • Connection to community

DIVERSEcity has RISE Youth case workers who can offer services in the following languages: Burmese, English, French,  Karen, Kinyamulenge, Kinyarwanda and Kirundi and Swahili.
