DIVERSEcity earns CARF Three-Year Accreditation

CARF recognizes DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society with three-year accreditation

DIVERSEcity is thrilled to announce it has earned the prestigious CARF Three-Year Accreditation for its Mental Health Counselling Services (Child & Youth Mental Health, Family Counselling) and Early Years Services (Behaviour Intervention, Tigrinya Storytime, Bond to Literacy, and Nutrition).

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and shows DIVERSEcity’s substantial conformance to more than 1,200 rigorous CARF standards in service delivery, safety, leadership and cultural responsiveness. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has gone through a rigorous peer-review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality.

“This accomplishment reflects the excellence, dedication and collaborative spirit that define DIVERSEcity across every team and program,” said Neelam Sahota, Chief Executive Officer, DIVERSEcity. “This recognition extends beyond our services — it is also a testament to the strength of our business and administrative practices that uphold quality and accountability across the organization. CARF’s rigorous standards assess not only the effectiveness of programs, but also the integrity of our governance, finance, human resources, IT systems and overall service delivery infrastructure.”

Feedback from the CARF survey remarked on DIVERSEcity’s deep connection to our mission and community, noting “The leadership team is energetic, committed, inspiring and passionate about delivering quality services … staff members consistently go above and beyond families’ expectations of service delivery. The organization was referred to as a lifesaver for many.”

A registered charity in BC since 1978, DIVERSEcity strengthens communities by helping people build the life they want with inclusive programs and services, while working together with community partners to advance change for an equitable and sustainable world.
