A leader in service: Sonia Parmar named Volunteer of the Year

Congratulations to Sonia Parmar, named Volunteer of the Year at the Surrey Now-Leader Community Leader Awards this week

Sonia Parmar, a partner at local accounting firm David Pel & Company, is a dedicated volunteer member of DIVERSEcity’s Board of Directors, currently serving as Treasurer and Secretary.

She also volunteers on many other foundations and boards, including as Vice Chair with Surrey Police Service, and Treasurer with  SurreyCares Community Foundation, Fraser Valley Estate Planning Council, Symington Symbiotic Foundation and Downtown Surrey Business Improvement Association, as well as a a director with Fraser Valley Chartered Professional Accountants Association, a committee member with Surrey Hospitals Foundation and more!

That’s a very busy volunteer calendar!
