Develop your jobs skills and confidence!\nFuture Leaders is a free\, innovative youth employment program that will set you up for career success. The program will help you: \n\nExplore different career options\nImprove your job search skills\, including resumé writing and interview preparation\nLearn about workplace readiness\, financial literacy\, wellness and mindfulness\nAccess one-on-one coaching and mentoring\, including with industry professionals\nConnect to further training and short-term certifications\nGet job placement support after the program\nPlus\, earn a living allowance and completion bonuses!\n\nEligibility\n\nPermanent residents\, Canadian citizens and protected persons aged 15–30 who are not currently employed or enrolled in high school or post-secondary studies.\n\nNext cohort begins July 6\, 2026 \nWe are now accepting applications for our next session. SUMMARY:Early Years Weekly Drop-in
DESCRIPTION:DIVERSEcity’s Early Years Outreach Workers support new immigrants with children from birth to six years old to find information\, connection and community. In addition to one-on-one outreach services\, we host a weekly drop-in on Wednesdays where you can learn about parenting and children’s development\, connect to resources and services and connect with other parents and families. \nPermanent resident families who live in Surrey and speak Tigrinya\, Dari\, Pashto\, Hindi or English are welcome. \nRegistration is required before attending drop-ins. \nRegistered families are invited to our weekly drop-in session on Wednesdays\, 3–5 pm\, at Umoja Operation Compassion Society (#208 – 14888 104 Avenue\, Surrey\, BC). \nTo learn more and register\, call 604-547-2003 or email childrensprograms@dcrs.ca.
