SUMMARY:Introduction to Artificial Intelligence
DESCRIPTION:The Digital Supports Program is launching a free workshop for newcomers: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence. Eligible clients such as permanent residents\, government assisted refugees\, privately sponsored refugees and protected persons can attend this workshop online on Wednesday\, March 11\, from 5:00pm-6:30pm via teams. A link will be provided for those attending online. The workshop will be conducted in English\, so a CLB level of 3 and higher is preferred. \nAs we all know\, artificial intelligence (AI) has become a prominent part of daily life. However\, many newcomers may not be as familiar with the latest technological developments or fully aware of the capabilities and wide-ranging applications of AI. This workshop is designed to introduce newcomers to the practical uses of AI in areas such as employment (resumé and cover letter writing\, job searching\, interview preparation\, and employment resources)\, settlement\, finance\, mental health\, real-time translation\, language learning\, academics\, daily tasks\, accessing or navigating online settlement services\, and more! The goal is to provide newcomers with the foundational knowledge needed to effectively use AI tools that can support and enhance their settlement experience in Canada. The workshop will explore both the advantages and potential concerns of AI\, equipping participants with the knowledge to use these tools safely and effectively.
